Anna brings more than 15 years experience in early childhood education. She has experienced WPSN as a parent and a teacher and is excited to begin this year in her new role as Director. In addition to a B.A. from Sussex University in the UK, Anna holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Webster University. She has a Gateways Level V credential in early childhood education and a Gateways Level II director credential.

Susie has been teaching young children for 16 years and is excited to be beginning her fourth year at WPSN. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University and has a Gateways Level 5 credential in Early Childhood Education. Susie has been inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning since she first discovered it almost 20 years ago. She has attended Reggio conferences around the country and last year took part in the North America Reggio Emilia Alliance conference in Madison, WI. She brings her passion for nature and the outdoors to her work with children and enjoys wondering alongside them about the beauty and magic of the natural world. In her free time, Susie loves to spend time with her family and friends, go on long walks with her golden doodles, create in her garden and home, and watch her daughters play soccer.

Ola is beginning her 19th year of teaching at Winnetka Public School Nursery. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Harper College and has a Gateways Level 3 credential in Early Childhood Education. In 2014, Ola took part in a study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy where she learned???

Meredith is looking forward to her third school year at WPSN. She brings with her an extensive 13+ year background in customer service, salon, and legal office management. As a parent who sent her own child to a Reggio inspired school, she loves the community setting at WPSN and enjoys getting to know all our families. Meredith enjoys being outdoors, hiking, photography, and is also a licensed cosmetologist.

Kathy Hardy

Rachel is excited to join the WPSN teaching staff this year. Over her 17 year teaching career she has held leadership and teaching roles in both public and private schools. She holds a bachelors degree in sports and exercise science, a Postgraduate Certificate of Education and a diploma in inclusive education from the University of Gloucestershire in the UK. Rachel is happiest outdoors and enjoys exploring, walking and biking with her family, sending time with friends, visiting new places and learning to play the violin.

Natasha is excited to be a part of our teaching staff after being a part of the WPSN community for a number of years. She has been a teacher in our summer camp program, acted as a substitute teacher, and is parent to two WPSN alums. A New Zealand native, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Education and a diploma of teaching from Waikato University, New Zealand. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Education from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has 17 years of teaching experience in New Zealand, Singapore and the United States. Natasha is passionate about travel, cooking, yoga, and spending time with her family.

This is Nicole's second year at WPSN. She received a B.S. in Education from the Ohio State University and holds an Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, and English as a Second Language. She has been teaching since 2011 and has taught in a variety of classrooms and communities. Prior to joining Northern Suburban Special Education District and Winnetka Public School Nursery, she taught at Highland Park Community Nursery School and Day Care Center and currently serves as the Vice President of their Board.

Nicole Henricks

Nancy returns to WPSN this year for her 11th year. She has a B.S in Child Development and Teaching from Michigan State University and holds a Master's degree in Teaching from National-Louis University. In 2003, she attended an educator's tour to Reggio Emilia. Outside of school, she likes to read, tap dance and take long walks outside.

This year Lisa begins her twelfth year of teaching at WPSN. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University and holds an Illinois Professional Educator License. Lisa is currently studying to earn her Special Education and English as a Second Language endorsements. In 2016 she took part in a study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy. This experience has had an everlasting impact on her not only as an educator but on a personal level as well. The three big key concepts she took away from her time in Reggio are the importance of time, the image of the child, and importance of quality over quantity. Lisa is an avid pickle ball player and last year took part in the US Open Pickle Ball Championships.

Lisa Glowski

Elizabeth has been an assistant teacher at WPSN for five years. She taught at WPSN for two years beginning in 2001 before taking a number of years away from WPSN to raise her son. She holds a bachelor's degree from Carleton College in Psychology and Educational Studies. She received her master's from Wheelock College in Boston in Early Childhood Education. In 2017, she took part in a study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy, where she was able to experience the Reggio approach first-hand. Elizabeth has a Gateways Level 5 credential in early childhood education. When she is not at WPSN, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and quilting.

This is Gina's sixth year working as an assistant teacher at WPSN. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Business Minor, from Providence College. In 2017, Gina took part in a study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy and was inspired by this opportunity to see the schools there first hand. When she is not at WPSN Gina enjoys taking walks, being surrounded by nature, and spending time with her family.

After working as a substitute teacher at WPSN in the past, Paula joins us this year as an assistant teacher. She holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Washington University in St Louis, MO. For many years, she worked as a graphic designer and art director. For the last 11 years she has been a preschool teacher, and has enjoyed bringing her background in art and music into the classroom and sharing it with the children. Paula is also a freelance jazz violinist who performs at public and private events.

Paula Palmer

Molly Pope joins us this year from District 39 where she was the school psychologist for the past 11 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Colorado College, a Masters in School Psychology, and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Loyola University. She recently finished her studies at Erikson Institute in Infant Mental Health and is a consultant with community child care agencies. She is excited to return to her passion of Early Childhood and join the staff of WPSN. Molly enjoys spending time with her family, surfing, baking, crocheting and running.

In addition to the 11 years that Carolyn has taught at WPSN, she has also taught in early childhood programs in New York City, Japan and in the Chicago region. She attended Willamette University (BA International Studies), the University of Michigan (Master of Public Policy) and New York University (MA Early Childhood and Elementary Education). She holds an Illinois Professional Educator License (Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education) as well as Gateways Level 5 credential in Early Childhood Education. Study tours to the schools of Reggio Emilia and Pistoia, Italy were opportunities for her to observe and interact with their educators and children as well as dialogue with educators from the US and beyond. A certified Illinois Master Gardener, she volunteers at the Chicago Botanic Garden and shares her love of nature with children at every opportunity.

Christine has been an educator for 17 years. She earned her bachelors in Elementary Education from Illinois Wesleyan University and her masters in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. She has worked with children of all ages and finds that a deep connection with her students is key to creating a safe learning environment. Her philosophy of early childhood education centers around the importance of play, outdoor experiences, risk-taking and expression. She lives with her partner, children, two faithful rescue dogs, and a variety of other animals. Christine is excited to join the collaborative and creative staff at WPSN and to help the children in her classroom find joy and wonder each and every day.
