Maureen Condon
Maureen Condon is certified to teach Pre-K through 3rd grade in Illinois (Type 04 certification). Maureen graduated with honors from Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and a focused study in Women and Gender Studies. During her practicum experience, she taught at the University of Chicago Laboratory School preschool. While there, she collaborated with other educators to develop and study young children's ideas about their environment. She presented this work, Earth Language: The Details of Life and Life's Big Questions, at the 2010 North American Reggio Emilia Alliance Conference. In 2011, Maureen attended an educational study tour entitled Teacher as Researcher in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Maureen has a strong belief in actively pursuing life-long learning. She hopes to inspire this passion to learn within her students. Maureen also really enjoys singing. Once upon a time, she was Annie in her grade school production of Annie. She hopes to sing many songs with those she meets at WPSN!
